Prepare integration in Zendesk (beta only)

Before installing the integration, you would need to finish a few steps on the Zendesk Admin Center first.

Navigate to https://<your-zendesk-domain>.zendesk.com/admin/home and log in with your Zendesk admin credentials.

Once logged in, navigate to Apps & Integrations → Zendesk API.

In the Settings tab enable Password access to allow users to sign into their Zendesk accounts (to have access to their contacts via the Ringotel app, for example).

Specify “https://shell.ringotel.co/services/Zendesk“ as a value for the Redirect URLs field. Note Unique identifier field and click Save. After creating a new OAuth client a secret token will be created.

Set up integration in Ringotel

Navigate to your Ringotel Shell admin portal → Menu → Integrationsorganization → Integrations tab. Click Znedesk Set up Integration button on the Zendesk panel and enter your OAuth client Unique identifier and Secret, and Zendesk domain.

Switch the Enable slider and check the permission options that you would like to enable for this integration. With Write or Delete option users will be able to create or delete CRM entities via the Ringotel app interface.

In the Ringotel Shell portal, map your Zendesk and Ringotel users. Users with the same email address in both systems will be mapped automatically.
