In Ringotel, users can have different statuses depending on their activity or manual status switching. As an administrator, you can monitor in which status each Ringotel user is in nearly real-time.

Ringotel users can be in the following statuses:

Online. The user is registered on the PBX via the Ringotel app or other SIP endpoint using credentials generated via the “Terminal password” feature.

  • The user is available and ready to receive or make calls.

  • This status can be set manually.

Offline. The user is not registered on the PBX via the Ringotel app or other SIP endpoint.

  • This user is not reachable. Depending on the PBX settings and/or forwarding rules, incoming calls will be rejected or forwarded to the voicemail or another number.

  • This status can’t be set manually.

Busy. Indicates that the user is making or receiving a call or is on an active call with another extension or external number.

  • Depending on the PBX settings, the user can or can not receive an incoming call.

  • This status can’t be set manually.

Do not disturb. Users can only set DND status manually via the Ringotel app.

  • In this status, incoming calls will be rejected or forwarded to the voicemail (if enabled), and missed call notifications will be sent to a user.

  • The user is not restricted to make outgoing calls.

At the desk. In this status, when an extension receives an incoming call, the Ringotel app starts ringing after a 10 seconds delay (by default, can be changed in the connection settings), reducing disruption when the user is at the office desk and has a parallel IP Phone registered.

  • In this status, notification about an incoming call is delayed for 10 seconds.

  • The user is not restricted to make outgoing calls.

  • This status can only be set manually.

Available. When a user doesn’t use their Ringotel app for some time, their status changes to Available. Please note, if user has a parallel registration with SIP credentials generated via the “Terminal password“ feature, this status will not be enabled.

  • The user is available and ready to receive or make calls.

  • This status can’t be set manually.

Available on PBX. If the user is not registered in the Ringotel app or SIP endpoint using credentials generated via the “Terminal password“ feature, but they have active registration on the PBX, their status becomes “Available on PBX.”

  • The user may or may not be available and ready to receive or make calls (depending on their settings and status on the PBX).

  • This status can’t be set manually.

The following indicators may appear near the user’s status:

When the user lost registration on the PBX, an exclamation mark will appear near the status. It indicates that the user has no SIP connection and may not make or receive calls through IP PBX. However, they will still be able to make internal calls to other Ringotel users. In this case, please make sure that the user's SIP credentials are correct and IP PBX is responding.
