Use your desktop app to make outbound calls via the Desk (IP) Phones registered through Ringotel

One of the great features of Ringotel is the ability to initiate a call on the Ringotel app but have the dial through physical desk phone that is registered through Ringotel as a parallel device. This is a handy option for those who prefer using a physical phone instead of a softphone on their computer. You can read a short guide on how to connect a desk phone to Ringotel here.

To make outgoing calls via your desk phone, follow these steps:

Step 1: Register Your Desk Phone through Ringotel

To register a desk phone on your Phone System through the Ringotel platform, in the Ringotel Shell admin portal, create a new Terminal Password from the user’s menu. In the opened pop-up, select a protocol and click Confirm to generate credentials for SIP endpoint registration.

Step 2: Enable Outgoing Calls via the Desk Phone

Once your desk phone is registered with Ringotel, log into your Ringotel desktop app → Menu → and in the statuses list, you should be able to see the connected desk phone.

Select the device from the drop-down list to enable outgoing calling.

Step 3: Make Outgoing Calls

With everything set up, you can use your desktop app to make outbound calls via the connected desk phone.
