Fixing push-notifications in Samsung phones
If you experience problems with push notifications on a Samsung device, please perform the steps listed for your operation system:
Android 12+
Disable Battery Optimization
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Apps”
Select Ringotel and open “Battery”
Select “Unrestricted”
Remove Ringotel from Sleeping Apps
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits”
Disable “Put unused apps to sleep”
Tap on “Sleeping apps”
Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select “Delete”
If Ringotel appears in this list, select Ringotel and then tap on “Remove”
Disable Auto Optimization
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Battery and device care”
Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select “Automation”
Deactivate “Auto optimize daily”
Disable “Adaptive Battery”
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Battery and device care”
Select “Battery > More battery settings”
Disable the “Adaptive battery” setting
Disable Power Saving Mode
Navigate to “Settings > Battery and device care > Battery”
Make sure power saving mode is turned off
Tap on “Power saving mode” and turn off “Limit apps and Home Screen”
Android 11
Disable Battery Optimization
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Apps” and select Ringotel
Tap on the three dots in the top right corner and then select “Special Access”
Now select “Optimize battery usage” and then tap “Apps not optimized > All”
Tap the switch next to Ringotel to disable battery optimisation
Remove Ringotel from Sleeping Apps
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits”
Disable “Put unused apps to sleep”
Tap on “Sleeping apps”
Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select “Edit apps”
If Ringotel appears in this list, select Ringotel and then tap on “Remove”
Disable Auto Optimization
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Battery and device care”
Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select “Automation”
Deactivate “Auto optimize daily”
Disable “Adaptive Battery”
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Battery and device care”
Select “Battery > More battery settings”
Disable the “Adaptive battery” setting
Android 10
Disable Battery Optimization
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Apps” and select Ringotel
Tap on “Battery”
Enable “Allow background activity”
Tap on “Optimize battery usage > Apps not optimized > All”
Tap the switch next to Ringotel to disable battery optimisation
Remove Ringotel from Sleeping Apps
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Device care > Battery > App power management”
Disable “Put unused apps to sleep”
Then tap on “Sleeping apps” and remove Ringotel from this list if applicable
Disable Auto Optimization
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Device care”
Tap on the three dots in the top right corner and select “Advanced” there
Tap the switch next to “Auto optimisation” to deactivate it
Disable “Adaptive Battery”
Open the Settings app on your phone
Tap on “Device care”
Tap on “Battery > App power management”
Tap the switch next to “Adaptive battery” to deactivate the setting
Android 9
Navigate to “Settings > Device care > Battery” and tap the three dots in the top right corner
Set all switches to the “off” position in the “App power management” section, but leave the “Notification” switch “on”
Tap “Sleeping apps” and delete “Ringotel” from the list (if present): tap the trash-can icon, select Ringotel, and confirm by tapping “Remove”
Set the “Optimize settings” switch in the “Settings power optimization” section to the “off” position
Android 7
Navigate to “Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > Power saving mode” and turn off “Power saving mode” (or adjust the MID saving mode to enable background data usage)
Navigate to “Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > ... > Advanced settings” and turn off “App power monitor”
Navigate to “Settings > Device maintenance > Battery > Battery usage > ... > Optimize battery usage,” select “All apps” in the drop-down menu, and set the switch next to Ringotel to “off”
Navigate to “Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > Advanced” and set “Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep” to “always”
Navigate to “Settings > Apps > Ringotel > Mobile data” and enable “Allow background data usage”
