Resetting the Push Notifications Permissions Alert on iOS

The first time the Ringotel app registers for push notifications, iOS asks the user if they wish to receive notifications for that app. Once the user has responded to this alert, it is not presented again unless the device is restored or the app has been uninstalled for at least a day.

Notifications permission

You can manually ensure that the push notifications permission is enabled for the Ringotel app by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to the iOS device Settings.

  2. Tap on Notifications.

  3. Find and tap on Ringotel in the list of apps.

  4. Make sure that the Allow Notifications setting is enabled.

This will ensure that you receive push notifications from the Ringotel app on your iOS device.

Further troubleshooting

If the "Allow Notifications" permission is enabled for the Ringotel app, please follow these steps to further troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Completely delete the Ringotel app.

  2. Restart your iPhone.

  3. Install the Ringotel app and log in with your credentials.

  4. Confirm the notifications request when prompted.

Simulate a first-time run

If you want to simulate a first-time run of your app, you can leave the app uninstalled for a day. You can achieve the latter without actually waiting a day by following these steps:

  1. Delete your app from the device.

  2. Turn the device off completely and turn it back on.

  3. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and set the date ahead a day or more.

  4. Turn the device off completely again and turn it back on.
