"At the desk" status
The "At the Desk" status on Ringotel is designed to reduce disruptions when the user is at their office desk and has a parallel IP Phone registered. Simply speaking, the “At the desk“ status introduces a delay in call ringing. When a user sets their status to "At the Desk," the Ringotel mobile app for iOS or Android is configured to start ringing after a 10-second delay by default. The delay can be adjusted in the connection settings, in the Ringotel admin portal, if needed. You can also extend the call ringing delay to the desktop apps in addition to the mobile apps. This status must be set manually, unlike the "Online" status, which indicates immediate availability for calls without any delay.
Setting the “At the desk“ status
In the Ringotel app, to set the “At the desk” status, navigate to the Menu tab, then switch the status to “At the desk“. For example, here is how to set the status in the Ringotel desktop app:
Once enabled, the status icon turns light blue, indicating that the status is enabled:
The status is applied per user account, on all parallel devices. To disable the “At the desk“ status, simply switch to “Online” status.
