Connections
PBX connection profile defines a configuration template for all softphone users that you will create under this particular Connection. You can create any number of Connections within an organization.
Create a Connection Profile
To create a new Connection within a specific organization, click + Add connection buttonÂ
Connection Profile Parameters
The following parameters are available:Â
Parameter | Required | Description |
Name | Yes | Name of the Connection profile. |
IP address or a domain name | Yes | Public IP address or a domain name, which resolves to PBX server. If the firewall restricts access to this server, please configure it to accept incoming connections from Ringotel servers (Learn more). |
Port | Yes | Signalling port on which Ringotel communicates with your PBX server. |
Protocol | Yes | Defines a communication protocol(s) used between the PBX server and Ringotel. |
SIP Proxy | No | If required, you can specify SIP Outbound Proxy IP address or a domain name with a port (separated with a colon). |
DTMF Mode | Yes | Defines a mechanism to use when sending DTMF digits to the server. |
Registration TTL | Yes | The maximum number of seconds between consecutive registrations on the server. |
Audio codecs | Yes | Audio codecs to use when communicating with your PBX server. |
Call progress tones | Yes | The country-specific standard that will be used when creating telephony tones. |
HTTPS Proxy | No | HTTPS Proxy server IP address or a domain name with a port (separated with a colon) that will be used for communication between the Ringotel clients and a Ringotel server. |
