Two-Factor Authentication

Two-Factor Authentication

You can enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for your Ringotel Shell account. 2FA adds an extra layer of security on top of your administrator’s login and password, which is a verification code generated by the 2FA-compatible application.

Enabling 2FA

To enable 2FA, log into your Ringotel Shell account with login and password and navigate to the Account settings.

Click on the Two-Factor Authentication option.

Follow the instructions provided:

  • Download compatible 2FA app on your mobile or desktop device (see below);

  • Use your 2FA app and your device's camera to scan the QR code or enter a secret key manually;

  • Verify setup by entering verification code from the 2FA app into the designated field;

Click Confirm.

Compatible 2FA apps

Any 2FA authentication app that supports time-based one-time passwords should work with Ringotel 2FA. Some examples of 2FA authentication apps include:

  • Google Authenticator

  • Authy

  • Microsoft Authenticator

  • LastPass Authenticator

  • Symantec VIP
