User statuses (in the app)

In Ringotel, users can have different statuses depending on their activity or manual status switching. The statuses are changed in real-time and shown to other users in the same organization.

Ringotel users can be in the following statuses:

Online. The user is registered on the PBX via the Ringotel app or other SIP endpoint using credentials generated via the “Terminal password” feature.

  • The user is available and ready to receive or make calls.

Offline. The user is not registered on the PBX via the Ringotel app or other SIP endpoint.

  • This user is not reachable. Depending on the PBX settings and/or forwarding rules, incoming calls will be rejected or forwarded to voicemail or another number.

Busy. Indicates that the user is on a call right now or in the DND state.

  • Depending on the PBX settings, the user can or can not receive an incoming call.

Available. When a user doesn’t use their Ringotel app for some time, their status changes to Available.

  • The user is available and ready to receive or make calls.

Available on PBX. If the user is not registered in the Ringotel app or SIP endpoint using credentials generated via the “Terminal password“ feature, but they have active registration on the PBX, their status becomes “Available on PBX.”

  • The user may or may not be available and ready to receive or make calls (depending on their settings and status on the PBX).
