Is there a way to get notified when a VM (Voicemail) arrives?
Yes, you can configure voicemail notifications in two ways.
First, you can enable the Visual Voicemail feature on Ringotel. For this, simply enable the “Voicemail" option in your Ringotel app (Menu -> Settings -> Voicemail). Please note, the Visual Voicemail feature will substitute the PBX voicemail service for the users who enable it in their app.
Alternatively, you can enable voicemail BLF notifications from your PBX. I.e. when someone leaves a voicemail for your PBX extension, your PBX will send a NOTIFY message to Ringotel, that will send it them to your app as a new message / push notification. To enable it, in your Ringotel portal, navigate to an Organization -> Connection Features tab -> scroll down to PBX Features section and enable “Utilize PBX features” option. Then, specify the feature code configured for the Voicemail feature on your PBX, and click Save charges on the top of the page.
You should then receive voicemail messages in the Chats tab of your app (mobile/desktop). Depending on the connection’s settings, specifically “Utilize PBX Features”, the new voicemails will either come in a separate “Voicemail” chat, or as a message from a specific contact/user.
